Welcome to Longonot Township Secondary School! We are known as the "school beneath the volcano", with beautiful Mount Longonot National Park just behind our school.

We have four classrooms and a science lab. Our lunch feeding program and solar-powered laptop computer lab are provided by Kenya Kids Can. You can also directly sponsor students at Longonot through The School Fund!

On this blog you'll find posts from the Longonot Rafiki Club and partners in North America. Enjoy!

Hey

This is Edwin I've never done a blog before and I read about your water management post. Its interesting to find out about how you guys get your water. How it goes through maintenance and that it is so important to you. I believe that we should come out with some measures to control the causes to save your water and people who use it.

Joel Polanco

Clean water is hard to find in Africa. How ever when water is found its too far from the village and its hard work trying to carry it back.I suggest we send engineers to help create a water system under ground to connect it to the villages.

Tanashia's response on water management

I think that it was very good to come up with a plan on how the water will be used. Its sad that all of you have limited water. I never thought that water would actually be a problem in other countries. Even though i have had history and global classes it hasn't really caught my attention. it seems like everything we have over here we take for granted.

Rudy Della Bloggin it Up

Hey My Name is Rudy and I Believe that water is very important to everyones health. Its sad that not everyone is able to have water and afford it. I hope all of you guys are drinking plenty of water and being health. Really drink water when its hot outside because it helps hydrate you.

much LOVE :)

Malik Johnston's response to Water Management

Basically without water we will not be able to survive. Because of not having a lot of resources for fresh water, I think that water management is the best thing to do.

Water Management

The importanceof water to our health is determined by our maintainance.many industries have affected water sources by releasing industrial wastes which has led to loss of livesof acquatic health. To cater this,we should come out with measures to control the causes to save the lives in acquatic fields and people who use this resource in domestic purposes.
