Welcome to Longonot Township Secondary School! We are known as the "school beneath the volcano", with beautiful Mount Longonot National Park just behind our school.

We have four classrooms and a science lab. Our lunch feeding program and solar-powered laptop computer lab are provided by Kenya Kids Can. You can also directly sponsor students at Longonot through The School Fund!

On this blog you'll find posts from the Longonot Rafiki Club and partners in North America. Enjoy!

WHAT A GOOD FATHER?

Here on earth there are many fathers but my dad is above all.
He is always very kind to me.
He always do to me things that make me happy.
He is a very respectable father because he always respect himself.
For every opinion that we give out, he apreciate it.
He filters his words as he talk & does not make me unhappy at all.
He is a handsome man .
He is the best father I have ever seen

MATCHING WITH LIFE CHANGES

I was sitting with my mother at home chatting about changes that are taking place in our day today life experiences. Surprisingly, it was too hard for me to convince her that we should cope with modern life. No sooner had I finished explaining to her than she interrupted me. "what are you saying now? Don't you see that these modern changes are contradicting our tradition facts?. That you can't do what our ancestors used to do?." she said all these while standing and I thought she had gone mad.
"Mother, you should understand that life is matter of creativity. You don't follow what dead peaple used to do or what others are forcing you to do. you do things out of your own will".
***
Modern life is a matter of creativity. We have to match with new changes as long they involve innovation and creativity. BE CREATIVE AND EXPLOIT THE WORLD'S RESOURCES RESPONSIBLY

Its all computers and learning for Longonot Rafiki club

Its a good feeling to have computers back at the school which had been away for some time for servicing and reinforcement.
We are now accessing the computers fully whereby we have introduced to the TIGed site and we are still practicing on how best we use it.
All the Rafiki members have been created accounts for and we can now chat with each other on site, this is something we are really enjoying. Cant wait to have a partner school from the West.
Big up Rafiki!Keep the good works going.
